A friend of mine, Jake, just started going out with this new girl he met. She’s fun, smart and really down to earth. Which is kind of surprising since Jake’s last girlfriend was, well… a bit unstable. I remember the time Jake’s old girlfriend just went off on weird tangents about how squirrels are the root of all evil… right. Needless, that didn’t last long but it lasted LONGER than it should! Jake didn’t want to break up with her because he figured that it was really hard to find a girl these days (obviously not listening to my advice) and he kept on complaining that girls never saw past his appearance ( he says he’s a little short and has a few extra pounds, but I disagree. JAKE YOU’RE FINE, GET OVER IT! ).

Anyhow, back to the story! This is why I was so happy for him when I met his NEW girlfriend. They seemed so good together, kind of like all new couples do… but this girl seems different. First of all, she’s more attractive than the usual girls he goes for. She’s also more successful and the list goes on.

My first thought was… Ok, what happened? I KNOW Jake and he would never have the balls to go up to this girl, so how did they meet?

Well it turns out that they actually were guided towards each other. Not by some divine force… but by a computer. Yes, they met online. Now usually I’m against meeting people online because I feel that body language speaks more of you than a thousand words, but this site was actually pretty good.

According to Jake: “I saw it on TV so I decided to try it. You basically log in, answer a bunch of questions about yourself… then they access who you REALLY are and suggest these amazing matches that are compatible with you” Its fun to do the test just to see what the computer thinks of you! Then if you end up finding the person of your dreams.. that’s just a bonus.

The great part about it is that this girl was really interested in meeting Jake because they were apparently ‘compatible’ according to this site. He didn’t have to convince her he was a good guy, or fight to get her number or anything! It just basically just happened and she was EXCITED to meet him because of the matching process. This is how he ended up getting a girl that he would of normally never talked to… and they are perfect for each other.
