How to talk to girls during the day
Sometimes it’s a daunting task for a guy to to talk to a girl during the day. One of the reasons why it’s so difficult is because guys are really task oriented: We want to accomplish things.
Therefore, we usually have a purpose when we talk to someone!
Why ELSE would you talk to someone ?
So what’s our purpose when talking to women during the day? To get to know them of course and possibly pursue something more! But when guys think like this, it makes us really nervous… because we immediately see that there’s a possibility of FAILING. In the back of our minds, if the interaction doesn’t work out perfectly we feel horrible.
So what’s the number one rule to talking to girls during the day?
Make sure the conversation is LIGHT and don’t expect any outcome.
Simple chatter is fun, and the more you do it, the better you will get at it. However, you have to realize that you’ll have to talk to a LOT of people before you find someone you truly ‘click’ with. So make it light… really light.
Examples of light conversation can be found in our previous article, how to talk to girls (which is a highly recommended read by your very bias author!)
Once you have light conversation going, getting a number or even an email will come naturally. Although getting a number is much better, I know a lot of guys that are doing great simply getting an email. It’s a much smaller commitment to give out your email than it is your number, so try that one if your conversation wasn’t very strong.
Light conversation is really the key to talking to girls during the day. The more you forget about your ‘objective’ to pick up the girl, the more she will naturally be attracted to you and the better the interaction will go. So go ahead, and just say hi.

This isn’t the first time I’ve seen someone advising to try asking for an e-mail instead of a number. Personally, I think in this day and age it’d be weird to ask someone for an e-mail address… especially since it is common knowledge that pretty much everyone has a cell phone.
