Sometimes it’s a daunting task for a guy to to talk to a girl during the day. One of the reasons why it’s so difficult is because guys are really task oriented: We want to accomplish things.

Therefore, we usually have a purpose when we talk to someone!

Why ELSE would you talk to someone ?

So what’s our purpose when talking to women during the day? To get to know them of course and possibly pursue something more! But when guys think like this, it makes us really nervous… because we immediately see that there’s a possibility of FAILING. In the back of our minds, if the interaction doesn’t work out perfectly we feel horrible.

Holy! Seriously… I didn’t have any respect for CNN before, but this takes the cake. They have some crazed woman that wrote an article on how ‘not to dump a guy‘. (well at least it follows the negativity of CNN spirit)

Never mind the article is horrible… but what makes it even worse is that they present it as an actual news article. If you look at the top right, you have the important “STORY HIGHLIGHTS”

- There are no fun ways to break up with a guy, but don’t be cruel about it
- E-mails and text messages are tacky ways to deliver bad news
- Avoiding a soon-to-be ex is popular, but should be used only when he’s scary

It’s funny, because usually when I see story highlights like that… there’s a war going on and they are giving critical life and death information. Here’s one of the “high quality” tips she gives:

I H8 U. Text message breakups are tacky and should not be utilized by anyone over the age of twelve.

Gee Thanks. Good job CNN!

So now I don’t usually post about other people’s blogs… but this is one that you guys should definitely check out. His name is Alex Coulson’s and he has one of the FEW quality blogs on dating tips for men.

I’ve been reading some of his posts, and his style is along the lines of AskMen & Maxim with a little more substance. One of the articles I really enjoyed from him is the one on how to start a conversation with a woman.

Conversation isn’t a guy thing. We do well to grunt in the same language as women. Why use words when a few well placed moves and a couple of meaningful looks will do? When it comes to talking and the art of having a conversation almost everyone knows this is the domain of women.

You have the personality. You have all the tactics and routines. You have everything you’ll ever need to seal the deal. Yet, unless you know how to get a girl’s attention, everything you’ve been working on will be useless. So here’s the question – how can you get her attention?!

What women, and in fact most people in general, are attracted to is value. If a person holds value, they usually hold the attention of the room as well. However, when I talk about value, I’m not talking about simple monetary value – value reveals itself in many other forms, not all of which are tangible.

I’m going to be trying something new… I think it could be fun and at the same time, very educational. I’ll be starting this so every Friday, before everyone goes, people can share ideas on what to in certain scenarios that you might encounter over the weekend. This way you’ll be better prepared for what might happen !

Here’s the game:

2. You describe how YOU would deal with the situation via comment reply.

“It’s Friday evening, you’re walking on the street on your way to meet up with your friends at the local pub/club/bar. On the way there, you see an attractive blonde that seems a little lost… she’s alone and seems to be a tourist. What do you do ?”

The Art of Seduction month of July article lineup started with an excellent article on kissing tips provided by our very own Razzputin.

After noticing that there were a LOT of guys that were really hung up on one particular girl in their life (we’ve all been there!), we produced an article directed just for you so can actually get that special girl in your life!
